Suh Flagged For Hitting Henne team will discuss Ndamukong Suh's hit on Chad Henne

Detroit Lions coach Jim Caldwell has yet to coach defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh in a regular-season game yet, but he is already making a stand about how he'll address any potential late hits or fines about his star. He won't criticize any of the officials' calls publicly, but he will discuss it with the team privately. "Just like I address everything else," Caldwell told reporters Saturday. "We don't cut any corners, we don't pull any punches. We talk about the issue, we talk about what needs to be straightened away, like most families would do. "We don't dance around issues and I think we can get them corrected that way." Suh's latest issue was a roughing the passer call after hitting Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Chad Henne during the second quarter of Detroit's 13-12 win in a preseason game Friday night. It is unclear if Suh will be fined for the latest hit, but he has a history of late hits and roughing quarterbacks, including Jake Delhomme in the preseason his rookie year. Suh's teammate, C.J. Mosley, told ESPN.com on Friday night he saw the hit and believed Suh made a clean hit. Suh has not spoken to the media since the game. Suh is one of the players who met with new league director of football operations Troy Vincent to discuss his play and how he can play better in the confines of NFL rules. "It's a league issue and I think it's been handled very well," Caldwell said. "I think they've handled it very well. I think they've talked about it at length and we'll leave it at that."
